What Does Subcentimetre Mediastinal Lymph Nodes Are Noted Mean?
when you take a ct scan for chest and on your report they write few subcentimetre mediastinal lymph nodes are noted. breast implants in situ. Is that bad. I took this ct scan in early march but in December I got a bad cold which I think give me lungs infection. I did not see a doctor. My body was very weak for a while. do you think I should be alarm . I will see a doctor this week .
Hi, Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic. Few subcentimetric mediastinal lymph nodes are normally seen. They are not pathologic. Only if they are greater than 1 cms it is considered pathologic. Also, breast implants in situ are because you have breast implants but it is nothing pathological. Both these findings are not significant. You don't need to be worried/alarmed and be reassured that nothing is wrong. Hope it sorts your problem. Regards, Dr. Pankaj Nagori Specialist Radiologist
