What Does Sudden Pain In The Left Upper Leg Indicate?
About three weeks ago I had sudden sharp pain in the outside area of my left upper leg. About an hour later I noticed a large vein very close to the skin, it was about 1 3/4 inches long and about 1/4 inch wide and bulged. Since then I ve developed numbness along the outside upper leg from the large vein and my knee area. I have Type II Diabetes, controlled by diet. Is this something very critical?

What Does Sudden Pain In The Left Upper Leg Indicate?
Hello, Sudden pain with bulging of vein could be a sign of disturbances of underlying circulation with thrombosis or others. In our clinic, I recommend the patient to get evaluated with Doppler ultrasound of the limb for perfusion evaluation. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
