What Does Swelling And Pain In The Ankle Indicate?
Have a question for you I just for in a car accident broke my tibia and my fibia in my right leg had to have screws in my leg and surgery of course but my ankle is still swollen after a month I can not walk but my ankle is making me worried it feel like when ur foot in asleep it s numb n hurts so bad i can t but pressure on my foot to walk even on my boot I get a shooting pain in that ankle n the swelling will not go down my big toe is also numb and they are numb all the time I seen my surgeon 2 weeks ago n he s says that can b normal but my ankle seems so be getting worse n i don t see him for another 4 weeks so I guess I m wondering is this all normal??
As per my clinical experience, the surgery in early post operative period may give pain, burning neurological manifestations for some period of time depending upon the internal anatomical insult.
If the same persist beyond total recovery of fracture site, one may have to take evaluation via means of MRI of the leg.
