What Does Swelling And Redness On Little Finger Indicate?

Hello - the pinky finger of my left hand is swollen, slightly red and hot to the touch. There is no pain or itchiness and I have not had any cuts or abrasions. It was been like this for about 2 weeks. I thought maybe I sprained it or bumped it hard on something and didn't notice, thoughts?
