What Does Swelling From The Knee To The Ankle Indicate?

my husband came home from work and saw his legs were swollen knee down to ankle. he then says oh, I think I ve forgotten to take my water pill all week. so he takes a double dose of Chlorthalidone 25mg. is there anything to worry about or should we wait and see how his legs are in the morning.

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to edema.

Chlorthalidone 25 mg treats fluid retention so it would reduce the symptoms of your husband.

I recommend regular check ups of the blood pressure.

If the symptoms continue or in case of high blood pressure he should go to the emergency room for further evaluation and treatment.
