What Does Swelling In The Elbow Indicate?

I hit my right elbow about a month ago. Wasn t sore at first but now is very sore. I work on a computer all day and that makes it ache even more. Rest helps. I have not had it xrayed but I noticed a slight round swollen place on the front of the elbow.

Good Evening
According to the symptoms swelling around the elbow joint Infection. If an injury at the tip of the elbow breaks the skin, such as an insect bite, scrape, or puncture wound, bacteria may get inside the bursa sac and cause an infection. The infected bursa produces fluid, redness, swelling, and pain. If the infection goes untreated, the fluid may turn to pus.
Home treatment for a minor injury
Remove all rings, bracelets, watches, or any other jewelry that goes around your wrist or fingers of the injured arm. ...
Use rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE) to treat pain and swelling.
Kindly use Anti inflammatory drug
Diclofenac sodium
Apply Gel on elbow joint
Ibuprofen
