HI MY MRI said I had bulging disks and 1 pinched nerve at L2-L3 and my feet are swollen every day puffy & hard to move I had back surgery to correct the pinched nerve at L4-L5 so that is fixed and had hip replacement surgery 6 weeks ago, but the feet swelled before that--?? Thank you, Mark
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pain in feet might be related to pinched nerve in L2-L3 and L4-L5 level, but this bulging disks don't cause swelling feet. If you still have pain , swollen feet and you can hardly move, these symptoms might be related to a rheumatologic problem of the feet (arthrosis or rheumatoid arthritis). You should use anti inflamatory treatment as Naproxen for more than three weeks, and consult a rheumatologist to perform blood analysis check (rheumatoid factor), X-ray and physical examination to decide if there is a rheumatologic problem in your feet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
