What Does Swelling In The Penis After Removal Of A Tumor Indicate?
Hi I have just had a tumor removed on my penis and had a cut in my groin to check lymph gland on right side had catherter removed after 7 days after surgery passing water ok but penis still looks swelled is this normal hurts when you strain to poo then it s ok and pain eases but worried as swelling don t seem to be going down much is this normal after having this op thank you.
Swelling is part of the body's inflammatory response, and unfortunately, it can persist for a long period of time (a few weeks). The use of anti-inflammatory medication, if you can use these would help Naproxen or Ibuprofen etcetera.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
