General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are several reasons for the pain in the area you describe. Very common is a muscular or tendon pain which may happen due to stretch and many times the patient does not identify exactly what movement caused it or when it happened. Using paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with pain is advisable.

If the pain is not better or is any worse or you notice swelling or redness or a cordon like structure at the are please see your doctor as soon as possible as this might be a more important condition like vein thrombosis or infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
