What Does The CT Scan Of The Abdomen Indicate?

Yesterday, I took my husband to the ER, lab values were good, no WBC elevation, CT scan of abdomen negative, to rule out appendicitis, gallbladder disease. He was dehydrated and received a 2L bolus of NS. He continues to experience nausea, relieved with zofran, and a transient temperature of 100.3, lower back ache, headache, just feels lousy, no energy. Trying to figure out what it is and how to best help. Any ideas?

Hello,

The narrated reports are indicative of possible intestine infection with some sort of bacteria or virus most likely. In majority of the issues like this, CT abdomen turns out to be normal.

However, the relevant details of all history and other investigations as complete blood counts, electrolyte disturbances would help to better estimate the issue in depth and management accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
