What Does The CT Scan Report Indicate?

I just received these results from my CT scan and I m trying to make heads or tails out of this. Could anyone please help. There is residual thymus seen within the superior mediastinum. The heart is normal in size. There is no mediastinal or hilar adenopathy. There is a 2.0 x 5.6 x 1.3 cm right pericardial cyst.

Hello,

It is normal to see a residual thymus in adulthood. The pericardial cyst in right side can lead to compression in surrounding area.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
