What Does The HSG Of A 32-year-old Indicate?

Good morning doctor! I am 32 years, weigh 62 I took a scan due to an occasional pain in my lower abdomen......curious. This is what was diagnose: A normal sized, non-gravid and anteverted uterus was seen with normal myometrial echotexture. The uterus measured 87mm x 50mm x 59mm (L X AP X T). There was no evidence of uterine fibroid. Endometrial cavity lining is diffusely hyperechogenic with a thickness of 8.5mm however no gestational sac is discernible. Both ovaries appeared normal in size, shape, and parenchyma echo texture, with functional ovarian follicle. Right ovary measured 37mm x 20mm x 25mm, volume 9.6cc. Left ovary measured 32mm x 25mm 30mm, volume 12cc. Free bilaterally, no mass or cyst seen. Nil free fluid in the posterior cul-de-sac......................... Diagnostic Impression: *Sonographic features were consistent with ACYESIS *Endometrial thickening? Cause.................. NB: may benefit from Hormonal profile, HSG. Please can u explain more clearly all terms and their health indication. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the ultrasound report you have furnished, following things can be concluded.
1. Uterus appears normal in shape and size. It is not pregnant and there is no evidence of lesions like fibroid in the uterine musculature.
2. Both ovaries appear normal.
3. Surround supportive tissues besides uterus is also normal.
4. Endomertium (uterine lining) appears to be little thickened than normal.
5. No free fluid in cul de sac suggests there is no evidnve of any pelvic infection.
Most of the features appears normal except for endometrial thickening.
Hence it is suggested for further get a HSG done to know for the tube patency and cause for endometrial thickening. Taking advise by consulting Gynecologist would be better.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
