What Does The MRI Impression Mean?

i had an mri done and the impression: there is multilevel degenarative disc disease in the lumbosacral region. L4-L5: There is a probabale impingement of the left descending L5 root in the recess. L5-S1 there is impingement of both descending S1 roots
There is impingement of the right exiting L5 root. can you explain to me what this means i have been having back problems for some time now.
