What Does The Abdominal And Pelvic CT Scan Report Suggest?

I recently had an abdominal and pelvic CT Scan with and Without contrast which showed the following: the uterus is prominent and the endometrial cavity is thickened at greater than 3 cm in diameter and appears to contain fluid. Perhaps there is stenosis in the endometrial canal. The shape suggests septate uterus. Evaluation according to institutional protocol is suggested. No significant amount of free pelvic fluid is present. I was having severe right lower abdomen/pelvic pain, nausea, and vomiting. Regarding the kidneys, it stated small renal cysts. I was told to follow up with my GYN; however, they can t fit me in until next week. I m still having some of the pelvic pain on the left and right side. Just trying to understand what the CT report is saying.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The CT scan is indicative of thickened endometrium along with the fluid in the endometrial cavity, stenosis of cervical os which can be due to chronic cervicitis, carcinoma of cervix or any previous surgery on the cervix.
Moreover, it also shows a septate uterus which is a development anomaly of the uterus.
The pelvic pain you are having is due to uterine collection and probable infection.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
