What Does The Absence Of Nose Bone Of Fetus Mean?

i m 27 weeks pregnant...on my 15th week u/s they said my baby's nose bone is missing...on my second u/s on 25 weeks they also didnt' see my baby's nose bone...my blood test came back nagative. i m 31 years old and my husband is 32 we are south asian(INDIAN) . my husband has a flat nose . i also have a 4 years healthy daughter who has flat nose. . we dont have history of down syndrome in any of our family...wat does absent of nose bone mean? what is the risk

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Absence of nasal bone indicates the risk of chromosomal anomalies in the fetus, especially Down syndrome.
The serumscreening, if negative for Down syndrome, if low risk indicates that the possibility of the syndrome is very low.
However, confirmation can be done only by amniocentesis and fetal karyotype.
