Hello,

There is slight dilation of draining portion of baby’s kidney. It is otherwise called as hydrouretero nephrosis. There is nothing much to worry and only follow up is required.

In most cases it will settle by itself. You can go for a follow up scan after four to six weeks. It is not a sign of Down’s syndrome and it is not an indication for caesarean delivery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
