General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.

It means there is something in the uppermost part of the affected lung that the radiologist just wants to see these areas from a different angle for an additional information.

Apicolordotic view chest x-ray will show any lung changes in the upper lobes of lungs. It is recommended when there is doubt in chest xray PA view regarding any suspicious opacities in the upper lobes.

The request for additional imaging itself does not imply that you have a serious health complication, it just means that they need additional information.

Hope this answers your query.

Best of your health.
