What Does The Attached Blood Report Mean?

I had a blood test 2 days back and and the report says PERIPHERAL SMEAR: RBCs: Microcytic Hypochromic+, Ovalocytosis+, Anisopoikilocytosis+. WBCs: Mild Eosinophlilia. Platelets: Adequate on smear. I dont understand these terms. Could you please let me know if there is anything to concern?

Hello,
As your blood test result showing RBCs- Microcytic hypochromic cells it means that the size of your red cell is smaller than normal and have more central pallor or less concentration of haemoglobin than normal. Ovalocytosis means your RBCs are oval in shape . Anisopoikilocytosis means your cells have variable size and abnormal shape. This all indicating towards Iron deficiency anaemia but need further investigation to confirm like serum iron, iron binding capacity, percentage saturation. WBCs- Mild eosinophilia means increased number of eosinophils indicating towards some form of allergic reaction. Platelet adequate means normal counts. so, go and meet physician with test reports and for treatments like iron therapy.
Wish you good health, bye.
