What Does The Baby's Heart Condition Of Double Outlet Right Ventricle With Hypoplastic Left Heart In Late Pregnancy Mean ?
hi doctor my name is shatha i am pregnant 31 weeks , doctor said my baby has double outlet right ventricle with hypoplastic left heart , diated right atrium connected by tricuspid with dilated right ventricle, Left ventricle atresia . 3 vessel view is seen but the aorta is a much smaller than the pulmonary artery,Both are arising from the same ventricle..
Hi Gretings from health care magic
The right atrium receives the deoxgenated blood from the whole body and pass it to right ventricle through tricuspid valve. From Rt ventricle the blood traverse to lungs by Pulmonary artery and in the lungs it exchange the carbon oxide and take oxygen (now it is oxygenated) and comes to left atrium by pulmonary vein. from left atrium it pass to Lt ventricle and then to entire body by aorta emerging out from left ventricle. the left ventricle is atrophic condition that is not in a proper condition. the pulmonary artery and aorta both are coming out from right ventricle. then both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood are mixing together . Keep in touch with your gyenacologist. It is very difficult to keep the child survival. thank you
