What Does The Blood Test Results Show?

Hi Doctor, My new born baby (2 days) blood sample collected and diagnosed some infection, so please suggest my baby condition via seeing below blood test data. By seeing him he looks ok to us. TLC: 22500 Different leukocyte Count:      Polymorphs : 82%      Lymphocytes : 16%      Monocytes : 16%      Eosinphils      : 02%      Basophils     : 00% Haemoglobin : 20.2 GM Platelet Count : 0.86 Lacs\cu.m.m Total RBC count : 5.48 Millons/cmm Hematocrit : 54.3% Serology Report CRP(Quantitative) Positive 10.5 mg/L

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A positive CRP report suggests infection/ inflammation.
The TLC is high in a new born baby.
In the initial 3 days of life the there is neutrophilia, however, an elevated CRP levels point towards infection.
The platelet count is low- only 22,000/ cubic millimeter.
Platelet count may be decreased in infections.
You need to consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment of the baby and relevant investigations.
