What Does The Blood Test With 8.62 MmoI/L Indicate?
my wife is 06 months pregnant (Age 26) and she was recommended by the doctor to take blood sugar test since her father has diabetics. The sugar test was carriedout by giving 50gms glucose orally and blood was taken after 01 hour. The result was 8.62 mmoI/L. Also the result of Rubella IgG was 54.6 IU/mL and SYPHILIS test Qual VDRL result was Non reactive. Kindly advise whether all result are normal. Awaiting your reply. Thanks.

1. 8.62 mmol/L indicates impaired glucose tolerance.
2. Rubella IgG indicates only previous infection. Nothing to worry at present
3. VDRL is negative. No syphilis.
4. Need to watch for glucose level as there is a possibility of gestational diabetes mellitus. Diet needs to be watched.
