What Does The Body CT Scan Report Indicate?

My husband has had the following symptoms for the past 3-4 months: diarrhea, vomiting about 2-3 hours after meals, nausea, abdominal pain due to gas/bloating/cramps on left side. He had a CAT scan done indicating multiple scleral bone lesions on spine, some ribs, and pelvis.

Hello,

It would have been better if you have mentioned the age of your husband. The symptoms points towards the need for a detailed evaluation of your husband. The sclerotic bone lesions can be due to some genetic disease, malignancy, lymphoma or pagers disease. The primary cause has to be investigated and found out. The secondary symptoms can be the gastric symptoms and bone lesions. Sometimes the gastric symptoms can be the primary cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meera Rajeev, Anesthesiologist
