Sir,Please go through the details as below, My 5 months baby s stool report is as reactin - Acidic Occult blood Positive reducing substance - Absent Pus Cell - 40-45/hpf red blood cells - 2-3 /hpf Epithelial Cell - Occassional Macrophage - Occassional Ova - Absent Cysts - not detected Trophozoites - Not detected Fat - Absent Larva- absent Vibrio cholera - Motility not seen My baby is active but he weight is stable not gaining. Also some blood found in his stool. Before one month he was having infection also, and at that time his activity is reduced. currently he is active but we are in tense coz blood found in his stool. Please give us answer what to do?
According to stool report pus cells present high in amount which is not normal.... Few RBC also present.... So possibilities could be severe enterocolitis or bacterial dysentery like condition.... Here antibiotic needed. If needed stool culture done ... Maintain hydration...
