What Does The Elevated Typhi H Level Indicates In My Blood Test Report?
hello doctor. i have been diagnosed with typhi H - 1:80 and paratyphi BH - 1:80. Is this very high or normal? I have been prescribed with an antibiotic floxacin for two weeks. I am a working lady and I took a two day leave to take rest. Is this enough?

You have positive widal test.You are suffering from typhoid fever.
Single value of salmonella O or H antigen titer values equal to or greater than 1: 160 is considered as positive.
Salmonella typhi H is positive in your case.
However four fold increase in titration is confirmatory.
You are taking right medicines and you should continue it.
If your are able to perform your job then two days rest is O.K,otherwise you may extend leave for 3-4 days more.
