Hi,what does the follicular study given below mean? Day-11, RO-24*14mm,MSF, LO-9mm, Endometrium-9mm, POD-no free fluid. One more follicular study will be done on day 13.We were trying to conceive since 7months but in vain. What are the chances of getting pregnant this month with this follicle size. When to have intercourse to increase my chances of getting pregnant.thanks in advance.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The following things can be inferred from the follicular study report you have furnished. 1. Right ovary shows is enlarged and shows a dominance in this cycle as compared to left ovary. 2. Endometrium of 9mm should be alright as it would be 6 to 8 mm thick during the time of ovulation. 3. There is presence of multiple small follicles indicated in right ovary, which could indicate about polycystic ovarian disease. 4. No free fluid in pouch of Douglas (POD) means that ovulation has not yet happened. Hence, another scan is advised after 2 days to know weather the ovulation has happened or would happen or not. You need to time the intercourse right at the time of ovulation, preferably consecutively for 3 days, to improve the chances of fertilization. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
