What Does The Following CT Scan Report Indicate?

I had a CT chest scan that revealed multiple probable foci of pleural thickening along the surface of the pleuera. There was a calcified left hilar node that suggested exposure to granulomatous disease. Also seen was a 3mm diameter probable confluence of vessels seen in the right lower lobe. Could you tell me what this may mean, and how best should I follow-up with this. Thank you

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The CT scan shows that the pleura (which is double layered covering of lungs) is thickened.
Along with thickened pleura, there is presence of calcified lymph node in the left hilar region.
These findings do not suggest any active disease but these changes could be due to a granulomatous disease
e past most probably tuberculosis.
Presence of confluent vessels in the right lower lobe could be due to blood vessel malformation.
There is nothing serious on your chest X-ray and you can follow up if required.

Thanks and take care
