What Does The Following CT Scan Report Indicate?

I just had a ct scan of sinuses today. The results showed I have pansinusitis with mild air-fluid levels in the maxillary sinuses, inferior frontal sinuses and diffuse fluid opacification throughout the ethmoidWon air cells. The osteomeatal complexes appear obstructed and the infundibulum thickened bilaterally.
Wondered what kind of treatment would be indicated for these symptoms?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
I have gone through your scan results and I can understand your concerns.
The above said CT findings suggest the presence of chronic sinusitis affecting almost all of your paranasal sinuses.
Sinusitis is a clinical condition in which the paranasal sinuses(air filled cavities in your face) is inflamed and causes several symptoms including recurrent headache.
Sinusitis can be managed medically or surgically depending on the severity of symptoms and CT findings.
In your case most of the sinuses are inflamed (pan sinusitis) so medical management may not be effective and you might require a surgical intervention.Nowadays endoscopic procedures are preferred.FESS(Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) is the treatment of choice in almost sinusitis and it is very effective and recurrence rate is low.
I suggest you to consult an ENT surgeon and he might explain you regarding the procedure in detail.
As of now you can take analgesics and nasal decongestants for symptomatic relief.
Hope this information helps.
Regards.
