What Does The Following CT Scan Report Suggest?

Age:54, Gender: Female Hello, I had a CT scan done without contrast (allergic) of abdomen to rule out kidney stones. It came back normal but the radiologist mentioned lower esophageal wall calcification of uncertain etiology. I asked my internist about it and he said radiologist said no masses and no recommendations for further studies. What does that mean? No symptoms Previous history of the same issue: Had CT 6 years ago all normal but there was a mention of a calcified node in the perioesoghgeal area. No concerns.

Hi,

Usually these findings need no further examinations. It might be from recurrent infections of that area no worries.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
