What Does The Following ECG Test Result Indicate?

I had a exercise treadmill stress test and received the following response... what does this mean? The resting electrocardiogram revealed a normal sinus rhythm and was within normal limits. The resting heart rate was 100 bpm. The resting blood pressure was 118/76. The patient exercised for 8 minutes and 59 seconds on the treadmill using the Bruce Protocol. The patient achieved a maximum heart rate of 164 bpm, which is approximately 92% of the predicted maximum heart rate for patient s age, sex, and level of conditioning. Exercise was stopped because patient achieved target heart rate. There were no cardiac symptoms or other adverse symptoms during exercise. Blood pressure response during exercise was appropriate. The patient s exercise capacity was above average. Maximum blood pressure attained during exercise was 146/78. At peak exercise, 1 mm horizontal ST segment depressions were noted in the inferior leads which persisted for 1 minute and 1 second into the recovery period. The patient experienced asymptomatic.

Hi I did review your concerns. The stress test is indicative of borderline ischemia. Generally ST segment depression above 1 mm is considered significant.
However, A 1 mm depression would mean either normal or ischemia depending upon what is the cut off used by your bruce protocol using cardiologist.
Since the patient was asymptomatic it is a good sign if he is not diabetic and it is better to evaluate him further and keep him on medical management or do a diagnostic angiography to see the percent stenosis if any.
i hope this helps
wish you healthy life ahead.
