What Does The Following HSG Report Suggest?

Hi Doctor. I just received my HSG report. It says that: Under aseptic technique 15ml of water soluble Contrast medium was administered through a cervical cannula. There are filling defects in the cervical canal. The uterine cavity is normal Both tubes are opacified. Right tube is coiled around itself with some loculation and demonstrates minimal peritoneal spill. Left tube is loculated but shows adequate peritoneal spill. What does this mean?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your HSG report there are some obstruction and tortuous channels in your fallopian tubes( tubes that bring egg from ovary to uterus). It might cause infertility. Nothing much to worry as it can be corrected by timely treatment. Consult a gynaecologist or an infertility specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
