What Does The Following MRI Report Indicate?

I have recently had an MRI w/o contrast that showed a lesion in my cervical spine. I know tha I have at least 2 OGB from previous spinal taps...16 years ago. I just turned 59, but have been progressively getting weaker, experiencing facial for all those 16 years, but severe leg spasms, and arms both numb, hands too , within last 2 months. I am going to have 2 more MRI s next week with contrast, and the insurance approved them both within 24 hrs. That s what worries me most! My legs feel heavy and anemic, I m trying to sell my home, and I don t want to take new medications...as I quit taking Forteo in March, thinking it was the cause of the problems. I also have celiac disease...per genetic testing and biopsy, and weigh 90 lbs on a good day. I need some good resources, please. Thank you, Cindy

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As the amount of pain is substantial with other neurologic symptoms of numbness arms and legs spasm, definite evidence of nerve compression is there.
* Associated care of underlying deficiency of folate and B12 levels with assisted physiotherapy and interventional pain management specialist will help great in this regard to serve best way.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
