My father is 62year old, his MiR report, L.spine finding, curvature of the lumber spine appears straightened with altered marrow signal intensity seen involving L4 and L5 vertebral bodies showing patchy hyperintense signal on T2Wi and STIR images s/o marrow oedema. There is an extradural soft tissue mass seen at L4/L5 disc level causing effacement of the thecal sac with narrowing of both nueral canals and compression of existing nerve roots. L4-5 disc shows hyperintense signal on T2 weighted images s/o discitis.Rest of the vertebral bodies show normal height and MR signal morphology. Rest of the intervertebral discs show subnormal signal on T2 weighted images s/o dehydration /dessication. No significant disc protrusion or extrusion seen. Visualised terminal cord and conus medullaris appear essentially normal. impression :-above findings are likely due to altered marrow signal involving L4 and L5 vertebral bodies with extradural soft tissue mass at L4-5 disc level causing effacement of the thecal sac with discitis L4-5 disc as described above caries. Sir please tell me about this disease. He is suffering with pain in left leg
