What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Hi, I have lower back pain and my MRI said there is mild focal expansion of the central canal within the distal spinal cord at the T12 level. Could you please tell me what it means? Also, it says I have mild facet joint degeneration with a trace of fluid in the facet joints at L4/5 and L5/S1. Is fluid good or bad? I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There is slight changes mostly age related in your spinal canal.

It not that much severe and can be managed conservatively.

The fluid is an inflammatory reaction and not a matter of concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
