Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that these MRI findings are related to chronic changes to the small vessels in the brain and chronic sinus infection.

For this reason, I would recommend to closely monitor her blood pressure values and fasting glucose and live a healthy lifestyle (Mediterranean diet, a lot of physical activity) in order to stop the progression of these changes.

Taking Daily Aspirin will help prevent further small strokes in the future.

If she suffers from dementia, I would recommend starting Donepezil therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
