What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Hi I just had an MRI of my chest/thorax w/o contrast. I just want to know what they meant when they say few scattered areas of ground glass opacities are visualized within the subpleural linguula, right middle lobe and basilar lower lobes. I m due to see a pulmonologist in two months but I m really worried about my condition. Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is suggestive of old and healed infection or inflammation possibly old tuberculosis. It is not an active infection and no treatment is required either. However it is better to consult a pulmonologist for expert opinion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
