What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Hello My Name is Gail, I m trying to read my husband s MRI from last Sunday. He has pain in his left side. In one of the paragraphs it says Left paracentral protrusion causing moderate central stenosis as well as narrowing of both neural foramen left greater than right combination of degenerative changes causing mid central stenosis and narrowing of the inferior aspect left neural foramen.

Hi.,

Paracentral protrusion means - The Spinal cord and nerve roots gets compressed or irritated near the centre because of a bulging disc. Moderate central stenosis of neural foramen means -

The central canal where the spinal cord present, got compressed or space is narrowed down. Inferior aspects of neural foramen narrowing mean - The central canal has bulged in the inner side of the canal.

Degenerative changes mean a progressive decline in the function of the vertebrae.
