What Does The Following MRI Report While Suffering From Back Pain Indicate?

My mother is facing issues with back pain. Doctor asked to do MRI. Reports are like Disc desiccation noted at multiple levels, Schmorl s node noted at inferior endplate of L2 and mild posterior disc bulge noted at L4-L5 indenting the thecal sac. What should I do now. I am not understanding what all these. Can anyone please explain?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
She is inter vertebral disc prolapse ( IVDP) commonly known as disc bulge. She is having the problem at multiple levels of her spinal cord.
Nothing much to worry, Consult an orthopaedican or a spine surgeon and get evaluated. Most often she will be all right with conservative management.
As of now she can take analgesics like tramadol or acetaminophen for pain relief.
If symptoms are severe she might require steroid injection to the spine. Your orthopaedician will help you further.Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
