I was originally diagnosed with meraigia paresthetica and was told symptoms should last about 6 months, but it has been 2 years and my condition seems to have gotten worse. Now I have severe pains in both legs and spontaneous spasm with cramps like charlie horses. My MRI s show multiple herniated disc in my lower back and neck. I finally decided to get a second opinion and the new doctor diagnosed me with sciatica and a pain management doctor also believe it is sciatica. I recently had an EMG and the result are: (1) Intervertebral disc displacement of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine with radiculopathy, (2) spondylosis, lumbar and cervical spine, (3) myalgias. I really am not sure if I was originally misdiagnosed? and what can be done because the pain and suffering is overwhelming. I have had many medications, but got no real relief, now the doctor ordered oxycodine and I am having a difficult time getting the order filled. I have Metroplus insurance, is there a specialist that takes this insurance? and willing to evaluate my case. I really would like to have my medical condition properly treated.
