What Does The Following MRI Scan Reoport Suggest?

I had MRI on my brain and this was the results CONCLUSION: Punctate areas of T2/FLAIR hyperintense signal within the subcortical regions of both the frontal and parietal lobes bilaterally in a pattern suggestive of microvascular disease, either arteriopathic or venopathic, related to hypertension or metabolic disease. Vasculitis or a demyelinating process would be considered less likely. This could also represent microangiopathy of migraine syndrome.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
This means that you have some small areas of damage in the brain that are due to damage to the small blood vessels. Things that are risks for this are smoking, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, excessive alcohol use and having a family history of stroke. See your doctor to help control risk factors so this does not get worse.
