Sir, I am 61 year old male. Today I got my PET CT report. I will go to doctor but it takes long time for his appointment. As such I am asking the meaning of my report, which is as under: Non FDG avid diffuse calcific pleural thickning and nodular plaques are noted in the base of both lungs. These are most likely sequeale of past infection. My condition --- I am healthy. No weight loss, no breathlessness. 3 months before in cold on a mountain suffer cold and fever. Several CT scan and culture of TB - all negative. Some infection of Candida, Got medicine. Am ok. 50 years before at age of 11 suffered TB and got Healed Scar and some Pleural level. No problem upto 50 years till 3 months back. I am ok. Please suggest meaning of my PET report. Is it Cancerous. Doctor sent me for that only, I suppose. Regards, Subodh Prasad, 0000
