What Does The Following Widal Test Report Suggest?

I have slow fever for few months . On 18/1/18 the Widal report showed all Antigen positive except S.P.Typhi AH negative and 1:320 of all Antigen are also negative. After taking medicine mainly cefixime 200 twice a day for 5 days and again for 10 days after a interval of about 5 days doctor suggested no need to take more. but on 16/02 /18 my Widal report is showing all positive same as the privious report with one chance i.e. S.P.Typhil BH antigen is positive at 1:320. Seems medicine not worked. What to do please advise. Is my condition serious? I am taking light food and drinking boiled water since 18/1/18.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Typhoid may relapse after one month. Now take tablet azithromycin two times for 7 days plus tablet cefixime two times for 14 days without break plus tablet sporlac three times and any multivitamin all these drugs are prescription drugs. Take physical rest as much as possible. Take the simple diet and drink plenty of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
