Good Morning Dr., My child who is a 3 years old, X- Ray showed Prominent Broncho-vascular marking. Doctor told she has bronchiolitis, Acute tonsillitis but throat swab was negative, Blood culture was negative. CBC - Platelet count and WBC count was low, Urine analysis normal Can you please tell me if it is bronchiolitis or bronchitis
hi..your doctors advise is right it is probabaly bronchiolitis.. it cause by viruses so swab and urine culture are negative. they are tested to see if any secondary bacterial infection is there or not. treatment is supportive like maintain oxygen , fluid and nutrition level. bronchitis associated with wheezing , mucus like expectorant and chest tightness...
