What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

Findings : suspicious capacities are seen in the right upper lung. Heart is not enlarged. Diaphragm and sinuses are intact. Note of slight rightward curvature of the thoracic spine which maybe real versus positional. Impression: suggest apico-logistic view for further evaluation. Can someone explain this to me? :(

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The X-ray report is suggesting that there are certain lesions present on the right upper part of the lung. It cannot be concluded as to what it could be by this X-ray alone. Hence, another angle of X-ray has to be taken to know what it could be. Other features in the report appear to be normal.

Also, you may require additional investigation like CT/MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis. All these investment reports need to be clinically correlated. Hence, kindly consult Pulmonologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
