What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

Hi! I just received my xray reading today. And here s exactly what it says.. *Suspicious opacities are seen in right upper lung. *The rest of the lungs are clear. *Heart and great vessels are within normal size and configuration. *Other chest structures are not remarkable. IMPRESSION: Suspicious opacities, right upper lung. Suggest apicolordotic view for further evaluation. Should I be alarmed?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

The importance of the finding on chest X-ray of opacities in the upper lobes of the lungs depends on your symptoms (for example, weight loss, chronic cough, night sweats), history, and physical findings. And whether the opacities are old or new.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd,
Pediatrician
