What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

Hi i just want to ask doctor. I ve finished my chest xray and after 5 days they recquire me again for xray. Thus is the remarks: for chest xray apicolordotic view to further evaluate the lung apices. From my previews xrays it was normal. I dont smoke or have any vices. What does apicolordotics means? Do I have a critical disease?

Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern regarding the chest x-ray report.

Apicolordotic view of the chest x-ray will show any lung changes in the upper lobes of lungs. It is recommended when there is doubt in chest xray PA view regarding any suspicious opacities in the upper lobes.

It means there is something in the uppermost part of the affected lung that the radiologist just wants to see these areas from a different angle for an additional information.

The request for additional imaging itself does not imply that you have a serious health complication, it just means that they need additional information. There is no need to worry and it is only to clear a small doubt of anything wrong in upper lobes.
Hope this answers your query.

A feed back is appreciated.
