What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi I went for a blood test yesterday and the results show that I have elevated levels of neutrophils ( 7.59 x10e9/L ( 1.90 - 7.50 ) and WBC (11.5 x10e9/L ( 4.0 - 11.0 ). I am on eltroxin (0,1), glucophage 500 XR and concerta 54 and also gluten intolerant and a smoker. What causes this and what can I do to reduce these elevated levels as I need to go for another blood test soon for immigration purposes? I dont feel sick or have any visible signs of an infection.

Hi,

They are not elevated and I think they can be called high normal and it could be due to smoking. Get them repeated once again and if you have no signs of infection you don't need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
