What Does The Following Blood Test Report Suggest?
Hi doctor , My father blood reports are as follows : S.g.b.t 40.8 IU/L HAEMOGLOBIN : 11:30 Gms % R.B.C : 4.53 MILL/C.MM. W.B.C : 10,600 /C.MM. NEUTROPHILS : 78 % EOSINOPHILS. : 02 % BASOPHILS. : 00 % LYMPHOCYTES : 19 % MONOCYTES. : 01 % PLATELETS : 268,000 CELL/CU.MM DIABETES PROFILE : FASTING SAMPLE BLOOD SUGAR : 115.0 mg% P.L./P.G. SAMPLE BLOOD SUGAR : 165.0 mg% He is in his late 50 s , and nowdays he feels very dizzy and feel like vomiting. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
After going through your father's report, haemoglobin is normal. All other blood indices are within normal range. But blood sugar value is of fasting and post lunch are above range. so HB1ac should be done to evaluate past records of sugar.
And dizziness and vomiting mostly related to fluctuations in blood sugar. When sugar level goes below normal, vomiting and dizziness are common. So have a complete diagnosis for diabetes as early as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
