Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Following Blood Test Result Indicate?
I recently had blood work done and the results showed a TSI reading of 13 and a PTH reading of 109. Is this something I should bring to my doctor s attention - if they don t pick up on it during my next visit? (Are these readings excessively high or low?)
Hello dear I understand your concern I would to ask about TSI test. It could be thyroid stimulating immunoglobin. TSI index of less than 1.3, or 130 percent, is considered normal. So your TSI is normal PTH:7.5-53.5 pg/ml__________109_________high.
High PTH could be due to hyper parathyroididm, or low calcium level. It also increased in vitamin D deficiency, chronic renal failure. So you can ask the doctor above causes. Hope this may help you
