What Does The Following Chest X-ray Report Indicate?

Hi, my brother had his chest x-ray and the impression is hyperaerated lungs, suspicious density, right lung field, Lordotic view for further evaluation, lungs are hyperaerated with slightly flattened hemidiaphragms. The mediastnum, osseous and soft tissue chest wall structures are unremarkable. Please explain the result of the x-ray for peace of mind. Thank you so much. May Phelps

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest the lungs are hyper inflated this can be due to taking a very deep inspiration.
2.Also seen in the COPD - chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, smoking individuals.
3.There are suspicious lesions in the bilateral apical regions - for which lordotic view has been taken but nothing much mention in the lordotic view x-ray.
4.Possibility of insignificance can be considered. Rest of the findings in the x-ray like bones and lung fields are with in limits.
5.If you are symptomatic a course of antibiotic and a followup x-ray will be suggested. If persists a computer tomography will give better information.

Good luck.
