What Does The Following Chest X-ray Report Indicate?

Hi. This is April. I have the history of PTB Extensive last 2013. The radiologic finding is peticulonodulohazy infiltrates are seen in the right upper and midlung fields. I have undergone my medication in the same year for six months. Last July 2014 I have gone Chest Xray which stated There is a questionable density in the right apex. Apart from this the rest of rhe lungs are clear. This was explainable since I have already the scar in the right upper of my lungs. This morning, I had tge result of Chest Xray for 2015 which says, A suspicious nodular density is noted at the left upper lung superimposed upon the left 3rd rib. Apicolordotic view is suggested. I don t get it. What happened in my right apex? Where is the scar? And what about this scar in the left of my lungs on my third chest xray? Is this new? Please give me an idea. I really don t understand. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The chest X-ray for 2015 is suspicious of some infection of the lungs or lymph nodes until proved other wise. In chest X-ray PA view bone (rib or clavicle) shadow will overlie the lesions hence making them hidden behind the bone. Apicolordotic view chest x-ray will show any lung changes in the upper lobes of lungs. It is recommended when there is a doubt in chest X-ray PA view regarding any suspicious opacities or densities in the upper lobes. Hope you understand what Apicolordotic view means. This request for addition test itself does not imply that you have a serious health complication, it just means that they need additional information.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
